About the role

Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can such as changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

  • Partner with product managers and other cross-functional team members to develop product positioning, feature development, go-to-market plans, promote-in content, and sustaining marketing strategies.
  • Develop, manage, and own relationships with a cross-functional team, including marketers on the channel marketing teams, creative teams, PR, business, customer support, and more to ensure a comprehensive approach to the product narrative.
  • Advocate for the user across cross-functional teams, ensuring all marketing strategies and tactics align with overarching product positioning, consumer need, and messaging strategy.
  • Serve as the product expert both internally and externally to ensure the product is accurately represented across all marketing and sales related assets, including a well-rounded understanding of the competition and market.
  • Gather customer insights, working with the insights team, from surveys, interviews, and usability testing to inform product and marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in product marketing or similar experience within consumer tech with hardware products.

  • Experience working with software teams including feature development and GTM strategies.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across geographies.
  • Understanding of the go-to-market process through concept to asset creation to launch and post launch in market support.
  • Ability to think about issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans that can then be worked on with product management to deliver relevant consumer products.
  • Excellent communication and people skills working in an organization.

Benefits

  • 401k matching
  • Health insurance
  • Flight privileges
  • Equity
