School Behavior Specialist

A contract position is available for a Behavior Specialist to support an elementary school in Norwalk, CT, throughout the current school year. The ideal candidate will have experience in applied behavior analysis and working with students who require behavioral interventions.

• Develop and implement behavior intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
• Collect and analyze behavioral data to assess progress and adjust strategies
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote positive behavior and academic success
• Train and oversee Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) if applicable
• Ensure compliance with school policies and federal/state regulations concerning student behavior

• Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or equivalent experience as a Behavior Specialist
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential preferred or willingness to obtain
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
