About the role

The Employment Security Department is seeking a dynamic Administrative Assistant to support our Employment Connections programs across Washington State.

Responsibilities

  • Promote compliance with agency guidelines and area strategies
  • Assist staff in understanding policy and procedures
  • Coordinate agency matters internally and with other governmental agencies and partners
  • Conduct routine administrative activities and communications
  • Monitor information, requests, and internal assignments to ensure timely completion
  • Assist in administrative projects and business process assignments
  • Provide customer service support through maintaining general email and voicemail accounts
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and maintain supporting documents
  • Coordinate and maintain calendars and appointment schedules
  • Prepare agendas and handouts
  • Document, provide, and maintain meeting minutes
  • Prepare, review, and maintain correspondence, forms, and documents for signature
  • Develop and maintain current lists and matrixes
  • Provide human resources administrative support
  • Prepare, process, and track all personnel and position actions
  • Complete all HR paperwork and coordinate timelines
  • Review personnel requests for content and accuracy
  • Request revisions as necessary
  • Track and monitor performance evaluation schedules
  • Act as liaison between HR and staff
  • Provide information on payroll policies, regulations, processes, forms, timelines, corrective actions, and changes
