About the role
The Employment Security Department is seeking a dynamic Administrative Assistant to support our Employment Connections programs across Washington State.
Responsibilities
- Promote compliance with agency guidelines and area strategies
- Assist staff in understanding policy and procedures
- Coordinate agency matters internally and with other governmental agencies and partners
- Conduct routine administrative activities and communications
- Monitor information, requests, and internal assignments to ensure timely completion
- Assist in administrative projects and business process assignments
- Provide customer service support through maintaining general email and voicemail accounts
- Coordinate travel arrangements and maintain supporting documents
- Coordinate and maintain calendars and appointment schedules
- Prepare agendas and handouts
- Document, provide, and maintain meeting minutes
- Prepare, review, and maintain correspondence, forms, and documents for signature
- Develop and maintain current lists and matrixes
- Provide human resources administrative support
- Prepare, process, and track all personnel and position actions
- Complete all HR paperwork and coordinate timelines
- Review personnel requests for content and accuracy
- Request revisions as necessary
- Track and monitor performance evaluation schedules
- Act as liaison between HR and staff
- Provide information on payroll policies, regulations, processes, forms, timelines, corrective actions, and changes
