Senior Integration Engineer

Chubb is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to join our team and drive the integration of complex systems using Java and microservices architecture.

• Lead the strategic design and development of integration solutions using Java and microservices.
• Design, implement, and maintain microservices-based integrations.
• Advocate for best practices in microservices, including containerization and orchestration.
• Mentor and guide a team of integration engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Partner with product managers, developers, and business analysts to gather and validate integration requirements and drive successful implementation.
• Develop and optimize RESTful API services to integrate various systems and applications.
• Diagnose and resolve complex integration challenges.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration processes, technical designs, and configuration settings to facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with industry trends, particularly in Java development and microservices.

• 8+ Years in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Practical experience using GenAI (Claude/CoPilot/Gemini) with a good understanding of subagents, MCP and controls; used to support the design, development, testing.
• Extensive experience in Java development, particularly with microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or similar.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with message brokers and middleware (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
