About the role
Chubb is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to join our team and drive the integration of complex systems using Java and microservices architecture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic design and development of integration solutions using Java and microservices.
- Design, implement, and maintain microservices-based integrations.
- Advocate for best practices in microservices, including containerization and orchestration.
- Mentor and guide a team of integration engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Partner with product managers, developers, and business analysts to gather and validate integration requirements and drive successful implementation.
- Develop and optimize RESTful API services to integrate various systems and applications.
- Diagnose and resolve complex integration challenges.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration processes, technical designs, and configuration settings to facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with industry trends, particularly in Java development and microservices.
Requirements
- 8+ Years in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Practical experience using GenAI (Claude/CoPilot/Gemini) with a good understanding of subagents, MCP and controls; used to support the design, development, testing.
- Extensive experience in Java development, particularly with microservices architecture.
- Proficiency with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or similar.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with message brokers and middleware (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
