About the role
The Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) is a diverse state agency dedicated to the safety, health, and security of Washington's workers.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze injured worker tort claim mediation and settlement requests
- Obtain supporting and clarifying information for the tort claim
- Engage in the adjudication process, settlement negotiations where indicated and appropriate with external parties
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in law, business, public administration or closely aligned field
- 3 years’ experience adjudicating workers’ or crime victims’ compensation insurance claims
- Knowledge of Washington Worker’s Compensation law and personal injury law
