Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to medical-surgical telemetry patients, maintaining patient safety and comfort
- Monitor patient condition, interpret assessments, and implement nursing interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
- Float to other medical-surgical units as needed to support patient care demands
- Adhere to institutional protocols and standards, maintaining compliance with regulations
- Participate in call coverage with two 12-hour call shifts during the 13-week contract
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in Maine
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Proficiency with Epic EMR or similar electronic medical records systems
- Strong teamwork skills with accountability and professionalism
- Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:4-5 during days and 1:5-6 at night
