
Financial Analyst Senior

About the role
The Senior Financial Analyst position is part of both the Finance team and the multi-disciplinary Cost Quality Improvement team which are responsible for reporting and analyzing on key financial and utilization metrics to be used for improving both the individual health and wellness of the overall health status of a client's population.
Responsibilities
- Prepares quarterly and monthly financial reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing, and explaining information.
- Analyzes current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures.
- Monitors performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.
- Analyzes complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.
- Creates presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made.
- Develops financial models and Return on Investment analyses for cost and quality improvement projects and programs.
- Builds strong relationships with leadership, customers, and peers, communicating effectively with stakeholders, customers, and supervisors.
- Communicates appropriately and effectively with stakeholders, maintaining awareness of any issues, potential delays, and situations of concern that may affect productivity.
- Conducts data quality checks and documents work products.
- Coordinates with other developers and analysts to build and share knowledge, ensuring consistent delivery of information.
- Provides technical support for ad-hoc financial reporting and decision support needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ Work Experience
- Knowledge of health plans and Integrated Delivery Systems
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, prioritization and operational skills
- Outstanding ability to prepare financial reporting, provide analysis and statistical data the organization can use to make operational changes, target specific goals, and refine processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High-level interpersonal skills. Able to work collaboratively and tactfully with multi-disciplinary and diverse teams that may include senior executives, employees, customers, physicians
- Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel
- SAS or other BI program
