About the role

This professional-level consultant in DCYF’s Human Resource Management System (HRMS) unit is responsible for processing accurate and timely HRMS actions for all agency employees and positions, ensuring correct compensation statewide.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain data integrity by reviewing all documents before entry into the Human Resource Management System
  • Research, analyze and audit personnel actions
  • Collaborate frequently with local Human Resources Consultants, Payroll, Classification and Compensation, and Labor Relations
  • Provide professional-level consultation to HRCs regarding personnel actions and data definitions
  • Establish and maintain positions within HRMS
  • Assist with keying small and large-scale data cleanup projects
  • Produce routine reports using HRMS
  • Research and resolve problems/issues within the Organizational Management system
  • Key Organizational Management data updates
  • Create My Portal leave approval relationships/organizational units

Requirements

  • Equivalent education and/or experience totaling five (5) years of progressively responsible, paid, professional experience in Human Resources or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with focus on business, human resources, social or organizational behavioral sciences, or related field
  • One (1) year of professional human resource experience (professional human resource experience means working full-time as a human resource professional performing HR functions)
