About the role
This opportunity invites a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students with mild to moderate needs in a classroom setting focused on significant support requirements. The teacher will manage a caseload of approximately seven students, providing tailored education to those with cognitive impairments and various disabilities, ensuring they receive meaningful and effective instruction. Key Responsibilities: Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with students, families, and support staff. Work closely with related services professionals to address each student’s unique needs. Deliver differentiated instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Maintain clear and consistent communication with families and interdisciplinary teams. Qualifications: Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Education Generalist License. Experience or comfort working with students who have cognitive impairments and other disabilities. Strong skills in IEP development and implementation. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Location: Hayden, Colorado (K-12 School setting). Benefits and Compensation: Competitive hourly pay range of $40 - $45.
