About the role
The Designated Institutional Officer (DIO) is the accountable authority responsible for the governance and oversight of all Graduate Medical Education (GME) activities within the sponsoring institution.

Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership experience in graduate medical education
- Deep knowledge of ACGME Institutional and Program Requirements, Common Program Requirements, and Duty Hour Standards
- Track record of successful GME program development, quality improvement, faculty development, and learner evaluation
- Strong administrative skills; experience with budgeting, data management, and regulatory reporting
- Excellent communication, negotiation, collaboration, and change-management skills
- Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, patient safety, diversity, equity, and inclusion
