Research Project Coordinator (COM 2) at the Department of Commerce

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate programmatic research and technical assignments
  • Develops, implements, and monitors legislatively mandated research
  • Conducts technical literature reviews, collect and utilize data to perform analyses
  • Produces technical reports and other research products
  • In consultation with the broader project team, conducts and oversees workshops and seminars
  • Provides technical consultation and training to public and private clients
  • Makes technical recommendations and consults on projects, programs, policies, and plans
  • Assists internal or external project clients with procurement processes and procedures
  • Coordinates interviews with subject matter experts and stakeholders
  • Reviews, edits, and assists with the preparation of documents and fact sheets

Requirements

  • Six (6) years of combined experience and/or education
  • Ability to interpret the technical and political implications of legislation
  • Writing concisely, clearly, accurately, objectively, and with appropriate analytical rigor
  • Working in a consulting environment with tight, competing, and often fluid deadlines
