About the role

The Employee Health Technician will assist the Employee Health and Workers Compensation Regional Lead to promote and provide a variety of occupational health care services. The Employee Health Technician will assist employees in meeting specific health care requirements and recommendations as established by hospital policy and governmental regulations. Under the direction of the Employee Health and Worker's Compensation Regional Lead, this position will strive to deliver safe and effective care as defined by AdventHealth standards of care and is consistent with the therapies of other disciplines. Responsible for helping practice and physician achieve all meaningful use measures. Demonstrates effective use and support of the AdventHealth Service Standards, within the hospital and clinic settings. The value you'll bring to the team: Demonstrates the knowledge and ability to apply occupational health regulation principles and practices. Strives to keep current regarding Federal and State regulations affecting occupational health and workers compensation practices. Assists with pre-employment health assessments and screenings (Review of Employee Health program, color blind testing, medical health assessment, Tuberculin screening, Lab screening and Nicotine testing)at the onboarding appointment. Arranges for physicians follow-up to occur on all questionable pre-employment health assessments. Responsible for the collection of laboratory specimens for Urine and Blood for employment screening. Demonstrates a working knowledge of hospital/departmental policies and procedures regarding Employee Health and Workers Compensation. The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: Required qualifications: High School Grad or Equiv or equivalent Phlebotomy

Responsibilities

  • Promote and provide a variety of occupational health care services.
  • Assist employees in meeting specific health care requirements and recommendations as established by hospital policy and governmental regulations.
  • Deliver safe and effective care as defined by AdventHealth standards of care and is consistent with the therapies of other disciplines.
  • Help practice and physician achieve all meaningful use measures.
  • Demonstrate effective use and support of the AdventHealth Service Standards, within the hospital and clinic settings.
  • Apply occupational health regulation principles and practices.
  • Keep current regarding Federal and State regulations affecting occupational health and workers compensation practices.
