About the role
Provide specialized speech-language support to young learners in an engaging K-12 school environment located in Bixby, OK. This temporary contract opportunity involves working primarily with students in grades K-4, delivering tailored services aligned with individual education plans (IEPs) during a maternity leave coverage.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct speech-language pathology (SLP) services to K-4 students, focusing on developing communication skills.
- Manage a case load consistent with approximately 0.8 full-time equivalent (FTE) for the primary 4-day/week role or 0.6 FTE for the part-time 3-day/week option.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapy goals within the classroom setting.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and required reporting.
- Support testing and paperwork activities as required, noting that prior assessments are already completed for this leave.
Requirements
- Certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience providing SLP services in a school setting, especially with early elementary grade levels.
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs.
- Strong organizational skills to balance caseload and administrative duties effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with school personnel and families.
