About the role

The Patient Ambassador is responsible for monitoring and impacting improvement in patient satisfaction for all hospital service lines. The Patient Ambassador rounds on patients, monitors comments received through the GetWell Network, and analyzes patient satisfaction survey scores. Identifies opportunities for improving care or preventing events that have a negative impact on patient care. Monitors Customer Satisfaction Outcomes on a monthly basis and report analyzed trends to executive team including action plans. Performs discharge phone calls to all discharged inpatients and reports analyzed trends to executive team on a weekly basis. Rounds on patients on inpatient units on a daily basis to discuss the quality of care they are receiving and provides feedback to care team staff and nurse manager. Rounds on patients on a regular basis to understand perception of services and provides feedback to care team staff and nurse manager. Works closely and communicates with clinical leaders from inpatient nursing, the Emergency Department and Surgical Services.
