About the role
Provides the technical skills needed to support the daily operation of the assigned entertainment venue and/or event, including the operation and execution of entertainment shows.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily operation of the technical elements within the assigned entertainment venue and/or event.
- Ensure successful operation of basic shows and/or presentations, including completion of pre-/post- show presets and resets.
- Responsible for the careful execution of show elements/cues to preserve show quality.
- Maintaining the proper show timing and levels as directed by show direction and venue training.
- Responsible for completing pre- and post-show presets, resets.
- Ensures proper completion of all technical documentation, to include daily checklists, FYI, and other such documentation.
- Assist with the appropriate maintenance and inventory of venue equipment/supplies as assigned for proper operation, organization, and cleanliness.
- Support and communicate with performers regarding their technical needs.
- Responds appropriately as needed, bringing any unusual concerns to Technical and/or Venue Management or Tech I.
Requirements
- Technical school is preferred.
- Associate degree (AA) is preferred.
- 1-2 years’ experience using technical control systems, likely within the theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity preferred.
- Proven ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Basic knowledge in technical disciplines needed to operate assigned venue.
- Basic computer skills with basic experience in Microsoft Office suite
