Decom Manager, Data Center Operations
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a fast-paced technology company and a leader in the world of Data Centers. We are currently expanding our infrastructure management team in the Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) and invite cleared professionals to join our elite team. Responsibilities
- Leading and supervising a Decom team of hourly employees within the ADC
- Ensure overall safety and security is supported across multiple teams/shifts
- Strategic planning, forecasting and resolution of problems; addressing any staffing needs
- Mentoring, training and developing direct reports for career progression; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees
- Write and deliver annual performance reviews to senior management
- Develop, improve, and share operational best practices across all ADC regions
- Work with other supporting functions and operational regions to develop performance KPI and metrics; drive throughput efficiencies by continuously improving operational processes
Requirements
- High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
- 2+ years of experience hiring and managing performance of technicians to meet service level agreements
- 1+ years of experience working on IT hardware including repairs, assembly, manufacturing, installations or life cycle decommissioning
- 1+ years experience working with inventory management systems
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
