This includes safely and effectively greeting patients, obtaining clinical information, financial and demographic information. Responsible for assisting providers during treatment and examination and may assist with procedures and medication administration as ordered by the provider. Performs office duties as needed; which includes but is not limited to, verifying insurance, collecting copays and scheduling necessary appointments. The value you'll bring to the team: Other duties as assigned. Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations. Stays up to date and familiar with all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards. Maintains education requirements for the position and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and written tests. Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results in the practices designated system. Mains OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, following safety processes and policies. The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications: High School Grad or equivalent Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA or American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) or National Center for Competency Testing-Medical Asst (NCMA) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or National Association for Healthcare Professionals-Medical Asst (NRCMA) Preferred qualifications: 1 year of practical medical assisting experience This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
