Document Imaging Recovery Specialist

Responsible for processing the patient paper medical record and converting it into an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in a timely manner for the viewing of physicians, clinicians, and other designated health care employees for the treatment and care of the patient. Performs near-time scanning of all active patient records on nursing floors. Retrieves discharged records from all units and departments of the hospital. Logs received records on the appropriate discharge log. Processes all loose documents in a timely manner. Notifies Health Information Management (HIM) Document Imaging (DI) Lead if supplies are needed or low in the DI storage room. Monitors, maintains, and re-stocks supply levels at the DI stations on the nursing floors. Minimum Requirements: High School Grad or Equiv Required Intermediate computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
