About the role
Develops and implements activity therapy treatment plans The value you'll bring to the team: Demonstrates efficient management and prioritization of patient caseload, adjusting and adapting to changes in patient census by altering working hours as needed to assist in other areas Provides training and supervision for appropriate team members, volunteers, and students. Other duties as assigned. Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment during all activities. Educates patients and their families about the benefits and goals of recreational/leisure therapy. Performs evaluations and re-evaluations according to department standards, establishing, implementing, and adapting individualized treatment plans for patients, including goals, treatment activities, and frequency Observes patient response and encourages socialization. Provides patients with information regarding resources and therapeutic recreational/leisure activities in the community. Adapts activities to meet the specific needs and abilities of each patient. Documents patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately and timely. Collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Develops, plans, and provides individual and group recreational therapy sessions, Evaluates the effectiveness of the plan of care, updating as indicated Qualifications The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed : Bachelor's Required Two or more years of Work Experience Preferred Experience with behavioral geriatric population preferred Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) Required NonViolent Crisis Intervention Program (CPI) Preferred

Requirements
- Bachelor's Required
- Two or more years of Work Experience Preferred
- Experience with behavioral geriatric population preferred
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required
