About the role
The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is looking for an Administrative Assistant 4 (AA4) to Provide administrative and confidential secretarial support to the Superintendent for Juvenile Rehabilitation (JR) at Echo Glen Children's Center.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and confidential secretarial support to the Superintendent for Juvenile Rehabilitation (JR) at Echo Glen Children's Center
- Supervise staff and coordinate clerical services
- Perform complex secretarial duties
- Act as the regional representative for personnel-related functions and on statewide committees
- Establish office support procedures, standards, priorities, and deadlines
Requirements
- Four years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work
- Previous demonstrated work experience in a highly accountable and measured performance environment
- Previous demonstrated work experience as an administrative assistant or secretary within a Juvenile Rehabilitation facility and/or residence
- Prior experience and ability to participate in a cohesive and collaborative team environment
- Prior experience supervising one or more employees
