About the role
We’re seeking a seasoned Technical Product Owner to lead the delivery of innovative software solutions within our application modernization initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain product vision, strategy, and roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories and technical specifications.
- Become a subject matter expert (SME) for future implementations and product capabilities.
- Own and manage the engineering backlog using Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Ensure alignment between product goals and development execution.
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure feasibility and clarity of requirements.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions to guide product decisions.
- Support API design, system integration, and platform scalability.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure intuitive, user-friendly experiences.
- Contribute to wireframe reviews, design validation, and usability testing.
- Work with QA teams to define test cases and perform user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ensure releases meet functional, performance, and usability standards.
- Create and maintain product documentation, system requirements, and release notes.
- Support onboarding and training for internal teams and end users.
- Define and monitor engineering KPIs and usage metrics.
- Use data and feedback to drive continuous improvement across products and processes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in product management, technical product ownership, or software design.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable).
- Ability to read and write basic SQL and Python scripts.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with enterprise software platforms and SaaS products.
