RN Clinical Regulatory Specialist Emergency Department

The Clinical Specialist is responsible for providing formal and informal education programs and clinical expertise in his/her specialty area to optimize patient/family, nurse, and systems outcomes and directly or indirectly plans, implements and evaluates patient and family specific care appropriate to the complexity of the problems and resources of the system

• Provides formal and informal education programs and clinical expertise in his/her specialty area to optimize patient/family, nurse, and systems outcomes and directly or indirectly plans, implements and evaluates patient and family specific care appropriate to the complexity of the problems and resources of the system
• assesses and evaluates care delivery models; implements changes based on outcome data
• develops education programs to improve patient outcomes and quality of care
• supports the practice of nursing through orientation, training, staff development, research and involvement in professional organizations
• contributes within the institution to establish clinical best practice system processes
• coordinates with multiple disciplines to solve system issues
• Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility for maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all

• Graduate of a RN program
• Two years of recent ED clinical nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced life support certification (ACLS & PALS)
• Current valid State of Florida or multi-state license as a Registered Nurse
• Recent RN ED experience
• Recent RN preceptorship experience in ED
