About the role
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support elementary school students in Austin, TX. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and involves working directly within an educational setting to address communication and speech development needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' speech and language challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate SLP services into the classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary to ensure effective communication skills development.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist, preferably holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience working as an SLP in school-based settings, ideally with elementary-aged children.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development milestones and disorders.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and educational staff.
