About the role
The Registered Nurse 2 On-Call position at Clallam Bay Corrections Center provides health care services to incarcerated individuals. Duties include screening, assessing, evaluating, and responding to health care needs; delegating and supervising care; planning transitions; and counseling patients. Required qualifications include an active WA RN license, BLS certification, and one year of RN experience. On-call staff must be available for all shifts and complete a minimum of 10 shifts per month.
Responsibilities
- Screening, assessing, and evaluating incarcerated individuals
- Responding to health care requests
- Delegating and supervising health care
- Planning transitions and arranging follow-up care
- Counseling, teaching, and providing health information
- Assisting patients with self-care skills
Requirements
- Active and unencumbered Washington State RN license
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- One year of RN experience
- Must obtain valid WA license prior to employment
