About the role
Delta Air Lines is hiring a General Manager to lead our SkyMiles’ relationship with American Express!
Responsibilities
- Partner with American Express and Delta stakeholders to deliver long-term strategy to achieve the industry’s most valuable co-brand portfolio
- Drive technology implementations that build new capabilities for direct customer marketing and improve existing customer experience
- Maintain a strong understanding of customer needs and credit card competitive environment
- Evaluate and prioritize pipeline of new products and features that can further engage existing customers or differentiate Delta’s co-brand portfolio from our key competitors
- Lead and develop a strong team to evaluate and develop strategies, supporting the growth of the co-brand portfolio, and delivering insights
- Negotiate new contractual agreements with Amex and ensures delivery of existing agreements
- Plan, prepare, and deliver presentations to senior leaders both inside and outside of Delta
Requirements
- Must be analytically thorough, collaborate well and synthesize and communicate sophisticated concepts in a simple manner to different audiences
- Have a “customer-first” mentality and a passion for building winning products that uniquely meet customer needs
- Have commercial foresight and strong influencing skills
- Blend of both business and technical experience in a corporate setting, with comfort analyzing and synthesizing financial data
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and developing people (direct or indirect reports)
- Strong relationship management skills
- Comfortable and effective interacting frequently with and making recommendations to senior leaders
- A fast learning, resilient, self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as work well in a team environment with a high degree of autonomy and excel under pressure
- Demonstrates that privacy is a priority when handling personal data
- Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
- Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority

- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
