Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, verify, deploy, and maintain high-quality code using modern engineering practices and tools.
  • Produce extensible, maintainable, and well-documented designs and code.
  • Optimize, debug, and refactor code to improve performance, maintainability, and overall effectiveness.
  • Guide other engineers by developing and following operational playbooks.
  • Monitor systems, products, or services for degradation, downtime, or interruptions; alert stakeholders; and take appropriate action to restore functionality for both simple and complex issues.
  • Proactively acquire new knowledge and stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and patterns to improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance, while driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
  • Embody and promote our culture and values in day-to-day work and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND in-depth technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Software engineering experience including building and maintaining large-scale web applications.
  • Experience creating high-quality, customer-focused products.
  • Demonstrated success in creating an inclusive and fun work environment where every employee engages effectively.
  • Experience or working knowledge of JavaScript/Node.js/React or another similar web stack.
  • Proficient with high-quality software design, development experience with effective problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Experience in working on big data pipelines such as Cosmos, Kusto, Azure Data Factory, etc. or similar technologies would be a plus.
  • Experience in working with Azure DevOps and SQL or similar technologies would be a plus.
