About the role
The DSHS WSH Psychology Associate will work as a member of an on-site ward interdisciplinary team that includes psychiatry, nursing, social work, rehabilitation, and many more.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual therapy, ward-based group or recreational activities, and case management
- Complete suicide risk assessment to inform treatment goals
- Serve as the liaison between hospital and those being cared for
Requirements
- Master's or Doctoral degree in psychology, social work, mental health counseling, or marriage and family therapy
- Two years post-graduate degree experience providing psychotherapy, preferably with a forensic and/or inpatient population
- Formal training in evidence-based modalities
