About the role
Apple's Input Devices group is seeking a world-class electrical engineer to develop and ship the next generation of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) hardware (e.g. mice, trackpads, keyboards, remotes, etc.). This is a hardware design EE position that entails working with cross-functional teams on the design, implementation, integration and qualification of Human Interface Devices. Come join us! As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in product development, guiding the product from the early design stage through various engineering validations and ultimately to the mass production-ready phase. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in electrical engineering, exceptional debugging capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively within teams. Beyond initial design, you will collaborate with various teams to contribute to build schedule planning, data analysis and debugging, test coverage planning, EE characterizations and etc. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to taking full ownership of EE design and facilitating alignment between cross-functional teams to ensure that concerns from each team are addressed accurately throughout the hardware prototyping and validation stages. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the project’s seamless execution, which demands a robust technical skill set for crafting a high-quality initial design, a keen awareness of potential risks associated with design characterization items, and outstanding communication skills to ensure that each team’s contributions are adequately covered during validation. In essence, this position demands not only proficiency in electrical engineering but also exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in written and oral communication.
