About the role
Performs high-quality screening and diagnostic mammographic examinations and procedures in accordance with physician orders, regulatory guidelines, and departmental protocols.
Responsibilities
- Positions patients and operates mammography equipment to obtain optimal images, adjusting technical factors and compression as needed.
- Ensures patient identification, safety, and comfort, explaining procedures clearly and addressing questions or concerns with professionalism and compassion.
- Follows all MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines, including quality control testing, equipment performance checks, and documentation requirements.
- Collaborates with radiologists and breast imaging team to ensure accurate imaging and timely communication of results or next steps.
- Participates in patient tracking and follow-up processes, assisting with recalls, additional imaging coordination, and biopsy scheduling as required by departmental workflows.
Requirements
- High School Grad or Equivalent
- 1 years experience in Mammography
- 1 years experience performing stereotactic core biopsies
- 1 years experience performing breast needle localizations
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
- Registered Mammographer (RTMARRT)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
