About the role
As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the communication and language development of our students.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting intervention plans as needed
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute valuable insights to the multidisciplinary team
- Offer professional development and support to teachers and staff on speech and language topics
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- TX state license in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred
