About the role

As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the communication and language development of our students.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting intervention plans as needed
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute valuable insights to the multidisciplinary team
  • Offer professional development and support to teachers and staff on speech and language topics

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • TX state license in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred
