About the role
The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the role of licensed Substance Use Disorder Professional or Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee, providing all clinical elements in DOC Substance Use Disorder Treatment services in accordance with the ASAM Criteria Manual, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Edition (DSM-5), and the Washington State Administrative Code (WAC’s).
Responsibilities
- Independently complete substance use disorder (SUD) pre-screens, opioid use questionnaires, and assessments for incarcerated individuals.
- Ensure all incarcerated individuals complete a Substance Use Disorder Pre-Screen (DOC 14-045) and Opioid Use Questionnaire (DOC 13-582) and submit these forms to Central Records.
Requirements
- Certification as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (initial and continuous unencumbered licensure in Washington State).
- Ability to work independently and within a team while exercising good judgement and promoting positive working relationships with incarcerated individuals, staff, and stakeholders.
