Fiscal Analyst 3 - Local Programs
Responsibilities
- Analyze approximately $1.5 billion in federal and state expenditure data for 1,400 local agency transportation projects biennially.
- Utilize multiple financial and project management systems to monitor and evaluate project funding activity.
- Review, audit, verify, and process reimbursements to ensure projects are properly qualified and classified by funding source.
- Process accounts payable transactions in a timely manner while ensuring compliance with state and federal policies.
- Review and validate project funding data in TRAINS to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Compile, prepare, and analyze financial reports and graphics for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain computer applications to monitor, track, and report budget expenditure activities.
- Provide training to local agencies and staff on financial systems, procedures, and compliance requirements.
