About the role
The Attorney General’s Office is recruiting for a permanent full time Paralegal 3 in the Medicaid Fraud Control Division
Responsibilities
- Supervises, trains and coaches legal support staff
- Applies independent judgment in completing complex tasks and projects
- Develops and/or updates procedures for file organization, litigation preparation, position description forms, interviews
- Conducts staff meetings
- Determines the distribution of subordinates' workload
- Drafts new office procedures and updates office manuals
- Provides expert level support for multi yearlong investigations and evidence obtained
- Collects, organizes, and analyzes evidence, factual information and documents related to investigations and litigations
- Composes legal documents
- Organizes and maintains litigation, investigation, discovery, and research files
- Tracks cases status, documents, using document tracking logs and case management systems
Requirements
- Combination of five years of experience
- Paralegal certification
- Two-year paralegal degree
- Paraprofessional experience in support of an attorney
- Three years' experience as a Paralegal 2 in Washington State Service
