About the role
The Associate Quality Engineer is responsible for gathering requirements, understanding the functionality of the application, works closely with the development team advising them to build the application as per the user perspective and after it testing the application with user perspective using testing expertise and tools to automate them. Works using an Agile methodology, delivering continual product improvements in conjunction with other Team members. Working on all aspects of quality and using different testing methods to test the applications, Working across all of the application’s layers, and will be familiar with large parts of its functionality.
Responsibilities
- Engage on test automation across requirements analysis, test plan & strategy, test design, test environment, test execution and test closure.
- Participate on generates the Automation Test Plan, considering functional & non-functional requirements
- Define the adequate test automation tool according to the project requirements
- Work with a software engineering team to evaluate software. Build a test plan with test cases based on user stories using automation to streamline.
- Build test data and execute test cases using automated and manual processes to see how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool.
- Automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor health of systems.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in QA Engineer role, automating end to end tests using Selenium
- Programming experience in Pythong, Java or JavaScript
- Experience participating on Test Plan and Strategy definition to automate functional and non functional testing
- Knowledge of front and back end technologies
- CI/CD: Basic understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Testing Layers: Basic knowledge of different testing layers, including API, Integration, and UI testing.
