Responsibilities
- Be the OpEx Lead of a production line(s) reliability team(s)
- Facilitate cross functional Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and focused problem solving
- Execute continuous improvement initiatives/projects in support of site objectives
- Mentor/train key stakeholders in the use and practice of continuous improvement methodologies and tools
- Assess current processes and standard workflow and identify process improvement opportunities utilizing organizational, analytical, Lean, and six sigma problem-solving methodologies
- Facilitate the execution of various value stream mapping, Focus Problem Solving, and Kaizen events
- Act as a change agent by communicating changes to the employees and helping them to learn, understand, adjust and grow within the continuous improvement culture
- Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize safety, quality, efficiency, and overall site continuous improvement
- Solving manufacturing problems that have a variety of complex features and mitigating repeat events
- Support the organization’s capability in knowledge and understanding of metrics and measurements which impact the total performance of the plant
- You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (± 16 years) Engineering, Business, Operations, Science or related
- Minimum 4 years of demonstrated success in applying Continuous Improvement / OpEx tools
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing operations, business improvement, quality systems, or other areas related to project management
- Certification or equivalent working knowledge of improvement tools and methodologies
- Lean/Six Sigma; Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred. Evidence of successful completed projects
- Experience in operations management and knowledge of cost accounting/financial reporting systems
