Senior Software Engineer

At Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) traffic team, we build traffic management solutions for AKS customers. The product streamlines communication and enhances the reliability of micro-services in a cloud-native environment.

• Partners with appropriate stakeholders to determine requirements for a set of scenarios.
• Leads identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform
• Leads by example and mentors others to produce extensible and maintainable code used across products
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and patterns to continuously improve availability, reliability, performance, observability, and efficiency of our systems
• Share learnings and best practices with the broader engineering team

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field AND 4+ years backend development experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, Golang or Rust OR equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in development of cloud native L3 (network layer) to L7 (application layer) network traffic management techniques
• 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes development

• Trackable records of building/maintaining Kubernetes L3 - L7 network stack (CNI (container network interface), mesh etc.)
• 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes development
• 2+ years of experience in development of cloud native L3 (network layer) to L7 (application layer) network traffic management techniques
