Journey Machinist

• Respond to equipment failures on vessels and terminals around the clock
• Work in inclement weather conditions
• Perform maintenance, repairs, exchanges, and overhauls on all vessel and terminal machinery and engines
• Repair and overhaul pumps
• Operation of lathes, mills, drill press, presses and other typical machine shop equipment
• Precision alignment of pumps, shafts, couplings etc.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems
• Stock and operate tool room and sign shop for Eagle Harbor Maintenance Facility

• Journey-level status as a Machinist
• OR Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as a Machinist
• OR Three (3) or more years of relevant Journey-level machinist work experience
• OR Combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position
