The CT Technologist is to assist the physician in performing procedures by utilizing the skills and equipment specific to their profession. The value you'll bring to the team: Capable of handling various aspects of the job simultaneously while maintaining a calm outward appearance. Possesses/demonstrates knowledge of emergency codes, location of emergency equipment and method of activation. Maintains radiation protection standards according to ALARA principles, particularly to patients undergoing CT examinations by using the least amount of radiation possible to obtain an optimal diagnostic study. Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, able to recognize gross abnormalities, and notify physicians of emergent findings. Assists physicians in cases of adverse reaction, performance of interventional/biopsy procedures using sterile technique and in acute emergencies when necessary. The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications : A graduate of AMA approved Radiologic Technologist program. Minimum 2 years of hospital-based clinical Radiology experience. State of Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist License ARRT (R) or ARRT (R)(CT) (eligible for national registration) BLS-CPR certification Preferred qualifications : Associate or bachelor's Degree. ARRT (R)(CT) (must be obtained within one year of employment).
