Pharmacist Investigator

This is a home-based full-time, permanent Pharmacist Investigator position requiring field work in Seattle, WA and surrounding areas.

• Conduct routine and complex inspections and compliance reviews of firms licensed by the department
• Identify trends and changes in pharmacy practice that may require department and/or commission action
• Write comprehensive outcome-oriented inspection reports
• Re-inspect sites that fail to meet established standards of practice and recommend remedial action when appropriate
• Provide expert consultation regarding pharmacy practice, drug law, appropriate acquisition and distribution of drugs and healthcare-related best practice
• Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers and stakeholders relating to pharmacy practice and pharmaceuticals
• Provide pharmacy and drug-related educational presentations to the Pharmacy Commission, pharmacists, pharmacy organizations, health care professional associations, students in colleges and universities, health practitioners attending "in-service" training, other government agencies, other department units, and the public

• An active license to practice pharmacy in Washington State
• Three years’ experience as a licensed pharmacist
