Responsibilities
- Supervise staff of (8) Forms and Records Analyst (FRA) positions
- Hire FRAs per RCWs, Administrative Policy, and CBAs
- Develop and deliver training to staff in submitting and responding to dependency discovery requests
- Plan and coordinate the FRA's workload and assignments
- Monitor staff performance, including completing Performance Development Plans
- Mitigate the risk of fiscal sanctions to the Department by ensuring staff respond timely and accurately to all Discovery requests
- Assist with the intake and processing of legal dependency discovery requests for the Region
- Ensure practice improvement and training occur regularly
- Manage workload tracking and timelines using the Agency Records Request Tracking System (ARRTS) and Smartsheet
- Provide accurate and timely communication regarding policy and procedure to staff
- Review and correct work, ensuring timely and consistent quality
- Develop procedures for the Discovery unit that promote consistent practice
- Provide management consultation on discovery requests and issues
- Respond to Discovery requests, including receiving, reviewing, redacting, and processing requests
- Receive, research, and provide CPS Status Reports from King County per written agreement
- Discovery for Lawsuits and Tort Claims
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree involving major study in business administration, accounting, industrial engineering, or a closely related field
- AND three years of experience in forms and records management
- OR Equivalent combination of education and experience totaling seven years in forms and records management, public disclosure, or other clerical duties associated with records/customer service
- AND one (1) year of experience must be supervisory
