About the role
Provide specialized critical care as an experienced ICU registered nurse in a dynamic hospital setting located in Denver, CO. This contract role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment within a 30-bed ICU unit.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care, managing complex critical conditions including neurological and trauma cases.
- Monitor and operate advanced ICU equipment such as Lenet beds and GE monitors.
- Perform critical procedures including rapid intubation, chest tube placement, and managing external ventricular drains (EVD).
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members, including coordinating with charge nurses to maintain patient ratios typically at one RN per two patients.
- Adapt to changing patient acuity and shift demands with flexibility and professionalism.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure with ICU nursing experience required.
- Expertise in neuro and trauma care mandatory for consideration.
- Neuro certification highly preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and within interdisciplinary teams, adjusting assignments as needed.
- Familiarity with Meditech Electronic Medical Records system is a plus.
