About the role
The Lead Cook oversees daily food preparation and service across patient meals, caf operations, and catering, ensuring all items meet quality, dietary, and sanitation standards. This role prepares meals according to established recipes, supervises kitchen staff, and ensures efficient, compliant operations. The Lead Cook also supports inventory management and may assists with menu planning.
The value you'll bring to the team: Prepare and cook high-quality, visually appealing meals for patients, caf service, and catering events, following established recipes and production sheets. Create and update menus, recipes, and production records in collaboration with leadership to support dietary compliance and operational efficiency. Maintain clean and sanitary workspaces, equipment, and storage areas by following HACCP guidelines and recording temperatures accurately. Oversee food production activities, ensuring proper portioning, batch cooking, and adherence to culinary standards for both patient and retail services.
