Educational Interpreter - Stamford, Connecticut

A full-time opportunity is available for an ASL Language Facilitator to support an elementary student at a school in Stamford, CT. This contract role for the 25/26 school year involves working one-on-one with a student to ensure comprehension of educational material, provide tutoring, and support ASL communication development.

• Deliver one-on-one tutoring and academic support tailored to the student’s needs
• Facilitate communication using American Sign Language (ASL) to enhance understanding
• Build and expand the student’s ASL vocabulary
• Collaborate with educators and staff to support the student's learning goals

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience working in a school environment, especially with elementary students
• RID certification and/or EIPA score are highly preferred but not required
• Strong ability to adapt tutoring approaches to the student’s learning style
