Special Education Teacher

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to work full-time in an Early Childhood Special Education classroom within Chicago, IL. This contract position runs for the current school year (CSY) and is designed for a dedicated professional with a passion for supporting young children with special needs in an educational setting.

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including parents and support staff, to promote inclusive learning environments.
• Utilize specialized teaching strategies to foster developmental, social, and academic growth in early childhood learners.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly to meet behavioral and educational goals.
• Maintain detailed records and comply with state and federal regulations related to special education.

• Active Illinois Early Childhood Special Education License
• Proven experience or training in early childhood special education principles and methodologies
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
