About the role

Delta Air Lines is seeking a versatile and innovative Senior Foundry Solutions Engineer to support our flagship initiative, Project SOAR (Solution Optimization for Availability and Reliability).

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust, user-facing applications using Foundry Workshop and Slate
  • Build custom integrations and APIs to connect Foundry outputs with enterprise platforms
  • Collaborate with backend, AI/ML, and operational teams to align features with business goals
  • Maintain code quality via version control, testing frameworks, and technical documentation
  • Support deployment, monitoring, and performance tuning of Foundry applications
  • Implement, test, and optimize data pipelines and Ontology-driven frameworks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or PySpark
  • Experience with Foundry tools including Workshop, Ontology, Pipeline Builder, and Object Explorer
  • Familiarity with Slate, TypeScript, or JavaScript to build advanced UIs
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), APIs, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to communicate across technical and business teams
  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise-scale application development
