Transportation Supervisor

Manages and coordinates the daily activities of the delivery operation for the Durham NC Cross Dock and works in unison with transportation manager in our Rock Hill SC distribution center. This position will also accept transportation manager responsibilities in absence of the transportation Manager.

• Daily routing of deliveries
• Loading of truck shipments
• Dock security and cleanliness
• Fleet maintenance and readiness
• Scheduling management
• DOT requirements
• Assisting sales & customer service
• Training of fleet drivers
• Travel to cross-dock locations
• Driver ride along
• Performance management of direct reports

• Typically requires 3+ years of subject matter experience including exhibiting leadership capabilities
• Critical Skills: 2+ years transportation experience, Excellent organizational skills, Excellent communication skills (verbal/written), and management skills
• Additional Knowledge & Skills: 4 Years of Transportation and 2+ years of leadership experience highly preferred, Knowledge of RoadNet preferred, LTL distribution or carrier experience preferred, Knowledge of area and ability to build routes preferred, Experience with E1 preferred
