About the role
The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for enhancing the performance of McKesson Specialty Health by leading the implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
- Scope, plan, and execute initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Facilitate Workshops, Rapid Improvement (Kaizen) events, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving activities to improve efficiency and reduce variability
- Leverage Lean tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping and Visual Management to remove waste and make value flow
- Analyze current processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement new processes or refine existing ones to improve workflow and performance.
- Identify opportunities to leverage Process Automation and other digital solutions to enhance efficiencies and quality.
- Collect and analyze data to measure the success of improvement initiatives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
- Use data to drive decision-making and demonstrate ROI on improvement projects.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by educating and engaging employees at all levels.
- Act as a change agent to foster acceptance of new processes and ideas.
- Standardize processes and share documented best practices across the organization.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to drive collaboration and achieve project goals.
- Mentor teams and individuals in the application of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
- Serve as a resource for coaching and problem-solving.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma, or operational excellence roles.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required.
