About the role
The Risk Governance, Senior Vice President will oversee and enhance Risk Governance practices across Risk Management committees
Responsibilities
- Enhance and update Risk Governance Committee standards and procedures
- Execute governance responsibilities for the GRMC, CBNA RC, and Board RMCs
- Interact and communicate with senior management
- Lead high priority strategic/regulatory ad hoc projects
- Develop strong working relationships and partner with key stakeholders
- Help define improved Risk Governance Committee controls
- Perform Internal Audit activities
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes
- Manage an integrated forward calendar
- Lead the coordination of agendas, stakeholder communications, and material development
- Provide effective challenge to internal stakeholders
- Perform ad-hoc responsibilities
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Risk Management or Governance function
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for Risk Governance and Corporate Governance
- Experience in managing and driving senior governance forums and/or policy oversight
- Strong executive presence with success influencing, facilitating, and partnering at these levels
- Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
- Superior writing and verbal communication skills
- Excellent complex problem solving, organizational, and time management skills
- High proficiency in MS office
- Bachelor's/University degree in a finance, business, or a technical discipline
- MBA or other advance degree preferred
