Full Stack Engineer, Retail Engineering

The IS&T Retail Systems is looking for a Java backend developer to join our group. In this role you will be responsible for planning, coordination, execution, and continuous improvement of existing tools used for end to end integration and workflow testing.

• Design and review the system architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance
• Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices
• Address and resolve technical challenges and obstacles
• Ensure proper documentation of code, processes, and system designs
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Help in creating project plans, estimating effort, and defining milestones
• Identify potential risks and work on mitigation strategies
• Monitor progress and address any blockers or challenges

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in full-stack software development
• Backend: Strong experience with Java and frameworks like Spring Boot
• Frontend: Proficiency with JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Familiarity with RESTful API design patterns and integration
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
