About the role
The Contract Specialist 1 has responsibility for procurement and contract compliance to include but not limited to the administration of contracts, interagency agreements, grants, letters of understanding, by performing competitive procurements, contract negotiation, assisting in contractor performance issues, data analysis, general management, and closeout.
Responsibilities
- Create and review various contract-related documents
- Initiate advertising and competitive bid projects
- Processes and awards contracts
- Advise staff members on procedures involved in contracting for goods or services
- Maintain expertise in database management and compliance support
Requirements
- Five years of professional experience and/or education in public procurements and contracts
- Education involving a major study in business administration, public administration, law, business law, commerce, mathematics, statistics, economics, or closely allied field
